Digital Video Recorder The G8-XLA digital video recorder is the basic version of the Enterprise Class G4-RTA series that combines value and powerful H.264 performance. G8-XLA is an enterprise class digital video recorder utilizing an H.264 hardware compression DSP from Texas Instruments. The G8-XLA can push video and audio recording at a CIF resolution on every channel. The G8-XLA is now capable of real time recording with CIF resolution and 512kbps on all channels. The versatility of this unit is extensive. Each camera input can be independently configured with variable bit rates, frame rates, record modes, compression, and more.  The output video and audio streams are integrated to comprise the synchronized H.264 stream. Video and audio coincide with each other from beginning to end. The USB port allows video and images to be saved to a USB flash drive, external HDD, CD-RW/DVD-RW for simple data transfer. The included CD writer allows for larger files to be copied to a CD-R for later viewing. The network software allows for files to be copied to a PC or server. Remote viewing, playback, configuration, upgrade, reboot, and backup are all standard on the G8-XLA. The embedded web server enables users to perform all these remote function via an Internet Explorer web browser, eliminating the need to install software. Client software is also included for central monitoring and alerts for as many as 16 G8-XLA units. Synchronized audio is available through the client software or Internet Explorer Up to 2 terabytes of storage can be installed in the unit, providing years of recording under proper recording parameters. We include a 500 gig hard drive. 3rd generation digital surveillance technology utilizing a proprietary OS, embedded web server, and TI DSPs bring together the most powerful network-based digital video recorder available. *Audio available on 4 & 16 channel units only.
