This security camera system features a 320 gig hard drive built into a 19 inch color monitor / DVR. Simply run the wires out to the 4 included sony cameras and connect to the dvr/monitor. All the recording is done inside the dvr and you can control the options with the included remote control or optional mouse. Set up the cameras for continuous recording or set them to record only when they see motion. This is a great space saver for household use , why get a dvr and a monitor when you can have them both in one unit. You can monitor all your camera simultaneously , one at a time on full screen, or have each pctire show for a few seconds and switch to the next. The DVR will continue to record all 4 cameras in full screen no matter what method you use to monitor the cameras.
